Solingen windmillknife chef´s knife "1922" plum

ORIGINAL SOLINGEN WINDMILL KNIFE MADE IN SOLINGEN GERMANY

CHEF´S KNIFE OF THE " SERIES 1922 " - FORGED CHEF´S KNIVES - MANUFACTURED FOR JUBILEE

The enterprise HERDER presents a new edition of the historical carbon steel knives of the year 1922 faithfully to the original - on the occasion of 130 years HERDER windmill knives.

The blanks are forged in the die. The blades are thinpolished like in earlier times and by hand "blaugepliesstet". The blade is "blaugepliesstet" by hand. The "Blaupliessten" by hand is in the traditional Solingen sharpening handicraft the finest treatment of the blade surface. Today this technology is controlled by only a handful of the best sharpeners in Solingen. By this treatment the blade gets a fine blue glow. The particularly smooth surface also splits hard things very easyly. "Blaupliessten" stands for highest sharpness!

The handle caps from noble, finely polished plum wood are by hand adapted to the blade, exactly like in former times.

Hardly another knife expresses origin and constant handmade crafts as clearly as the "series 1922".

Chef´s knife "series 1922" - not stainless - not dishwashersafe

Length of the blade: ca. 23 cm
Length of the handle: ca. 12,5 cm
